Paper Bouquet by @emilyfiller. The artist, inspired by her father's passion for gardening and photography, creates work that certainly plays with space and color. And in doing so, hands us something beautiful. #fineart#gallery#inspirational
"Lilac Layabout," by @troyemery.
This is exactly what we wanted our Monday to feel like, but we have responsibilities. If you want to slip into a dream-like state of wonder, stare at Troy Emery's work for a bit.
Never let a challenge stop you from executing on ambitious ideas. Take @alexchinneck, for example. "Birth, Death and A Midlife Crisis" is an exploration of architecture and stability, from every angle, given Chinneck tied a 450-year old column into a knot. 📸 by @charlesemerson_
Tomorrow, artist @robert_mars_art will be having the official book signing of his newly released, gorgeous and cohesive book "Futurelics: Past is Present" at @dtrmodern's SoHo location. ⠀
Mars delves deep into archives of historical ephemera (that later physically make up his works) to investigate the eternality of certain social figures and their lasting influence on global culture.
Artist @barbaracoleart could write an entire book on her process of underwater photography, and the intricacies that go into each and every snap (in fact, she already has a few books which you should certainly check out). You can't see her here, but behind the lens is an artist decked out in wetsuit attire, embracing her passion for experimentation, killer visuals and elegant perspective. This is "Impersonation" from her underwater series, Duplicity. #wcw, for sure.
"Laughing in the Face of Casualty and Sorrow," a piece from @steph 's new series titled Shine a Light When It's Gray Out. The artist, and his hundreds of thousands of stitches, are reaching a global audience as they surround the juxtaposition of embracing national support with the withdrawal of virtual isolation. The series directly asks the question: "How do you create a place for yourself in this world without sacrifice?" We're very excited for the premiere of this series at @thenewgallery March 1st, and many more exhibitions to come. Follow the artist @stephenwilsonstudio
