Recently, someone told me that I’m single because I probably intimidate guys. Knowing what I want from life and not being afraid to go after it, is not why I’m single........my unhealthy obsession with my dog and sweatpants-only policy is. Don’t get it twisted.
I used to HATE pink. I thought it was way too girly (even though, obviously, colors aren’t gendered). But how crazy is that? I hated something because I thought it was a girl color, which somehow meant it was bad or weak or stupid. Now, I LOVE pink and wear it as much as possible because I know that anything that’s considered “girly” signifies beauty and strength and brilliance, no matter your gender.
From the moment we come out of the womb, the world tries to beat out our confidence. We start to believe that we are not talented, not worthy, not loved. As we grow older, we must fight to get that confidence back and do the things that help us achieve that. For me, a great workout, laughing with my closest friends, and of course, getting my hair did ( @amandaozardhair@montanatsaihair) always puts an extra pep in my step and reassures me of myself and the world around me. What gives you confidence?
Why do compliments from other women mean so much more to me than ones from men?? Oh yeah, it’s because society has pitted us against each other for so long that we forget that we’re on the same team, fighting for the same things. Tell that girl her brows are on point 💁♀️
