If we all woke up one morning and could do say, a handstand, nobody would be impressed by a handstand. It’s not the form, shape or asana itself that people are so into, it’s the work and the dedication. It’s what it symbolises. We can look at mindfulness and meditation the same way, it’s not easy, but when you do it, when you work on it every day and all of a sudden it clicks and you GET it, you feel like you’ve climbed the biggest mountain of all 🙏🏻 Or you feel like you can at least stand on your hands 🤷🏻♂️
Observe the bird of paradise in his natural habitat... San Francisco. Remember, fit the posture to your body, not the other way round. Focus on what feels GOOD, not what looks fancy. Although you could grow a moustache like @danielscottyoga and then you will automatically look fancy 🤷🏽♂️ 📸 @michaeljameswong
Success isn’t measured by what you have, but by who you have around you in life.
We must cultivate a life where we prioritise people, not possessions, connections, not cash and experience over expectation.
Only then will life be success. 💙✌🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Wise words from BOYS founder @michaeljameswong
“What’s the best/worst job you’ve ever had?”
“My mom wanted me to learn a lesson about the value of money and the power of education, so she made me get a landscaping job. I wanted to be on the creative side of landscaping not the digging-of-trenches side, but that wasn’t really an option at the time. On that job I met and worked with loads of immigrants. These guys were badass and super hard-working; my work ethic didn't compare. On top of that, these guys were sending their money back home to feed their families while sharing a room with four or five other guys.
It opened my eyes to the things I was taking for granted and I developed a strong disagreement with the invisible lines that mark all these territories we call countries, since they only create separation. I came to understand love expressed through sacrifice. It was one of the hardest jobs I have ever had, but I was taught some of the greatest lessons I’ve ever learned”

By falling out of postures, you’re not failing, in fact you’re doing the opposite, you’re exploring your limits, you’re looking for balance.
That teetering point is where you realise what you can physically achieve with the asana. So don’t be afraid of falling out of things. And make sure you do it with a grin too, that’s how the boys do it 🤙🏼
When it comes to your yoga practice, let the breathe be of the utmost priority and let everything else come. 👌🏼 Wise word’s from this handstanding hollowbacking BOY @kestyoga 🙏🏻

“I skip classes all the time, no problem. I was taught that I have a whole lifetime to improve my practice & let it come naturally. It’s not just about the practice we design on the mat but how we translate it into our everyday lives. So I’m always practicing!”
Wise words from our BOY @salamatyoga - do you feel like you’re always practicing?
