Ingredients: • 4 cups plain almond milk, unsweetened • 12 cloves garlic, minced • 2 tablespoons lemon juice • 2 tablespoons olive oil • 1 cup almonds, chopped • 1 white onion, minced • ½ cup all-purpose flour • 2 teaspoons lemon zest, grated • Salt to taste • Pepper to taste Method: 1. Place a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add oil. When the oil is heated, add garlic and onion and sauté until translucent. Add salt and pepper and sauté for a minute. 2. Stir in flour and lemon zest. Pour almond milk and lemon juice. Stir all the time until thick. 3. Lower heat and simmer for 3-4 minutes. Turn off the heat and cool for a few minutes. 4. Transfer into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour it back into the saucepan. 5. Add almonds and stir. Simmer for 4-5 minutes. Stir occasionally. 6. Transfer into an airtight container and refrigerate until use. It can last for 4-5 days.
