OBVIOUSLY......I look like I’m having a pretty good time here! 💃 Gonna be honest though, I wasn’t thrilled to try our next program🤭.... Barre classes you can do from home. I really didn’t think it would be a good fit for me. I’m more of a lift the weights, gimme the hard stuff kinda gal. 🏋🏼♀️ But after trying these workouts, here’s what happened. 👉🏻I had to drop my 5 lb weights because they got too heavy, and use no weights at all. My top 3 hesitations before coaching... 1. I’m WAY too introverted. I’ll never be any good at this. 2. I have no clue what I’m doing. 3. What will THEY think. First off.....when you find something you are really passionate about, you have no problem sharing it with others. Second.....you learn as you go. it was a 𝒃𝒊𝒈 𝒅𝒆𝒂𝒍 to me that I took two 𝑬𝑿𝑻𝑹𝑨 rest days last week. not because it messed up my workout calendar or changed the number on my scale... ⠀⠀ but because in the past: 2 rest days would have turned to 2 weeks of rest days..... to 2 months..... to me NOT setting foot in the gym until pre-spring break ⠀⠀ but now? I enjoyed my weekend (AND I wasn’t obsessively thinking of ‘eating less’ because I missed a workout #anotherwin) and this week I was 𝑬𝑿𝑪𝑰𝑻𝑬𝑫 to get back to my programs as 𝑺𝑶𝑶𝑵 as I could! ⠀⠀ don’t be discouraged when it feels like your habits are changing slowly or you’re 2 rest days turn to 200. 𝑺𝑰𝑴𝑷𝑳𝑬 actions become 𝑺𝑰𝑮𝑵𝑰𝑭𝑰𝑪𝑨𝑵𝑻 actions when compounded over time. choose to be 𝑫𝑰𝑺𝑪𝑰𝑷𝑳𝑰𝑵𝑬𝑫 now + keep building the healthy habits you naturally want to have LATER!

The Key 🔑 . “Healthy food” has been misconstrued many times over by powerful money, media, and many other variables. . One of my favorite pre-workout fuel ⛽️ recently is this bomb.com Cole Brothas Avo-hummus-veggie- egg- toast! . I’m sorry to inform y’all, but there is not a pre-workout powder or pill that can top or even come close to whole, real foods that come from Earth 🌍 . . We love to see y’all grow and Implement better foods and strategy into your routine/ lifestyle. Whether this is pre-workout or a meal any time of the day; this combo will fuel your Macro and Micro needs. . Also it probably cost about $4 all said and done shown here. So is healthy eating really that much more “expensive?” Or have we been programmed to think wrongly about food. 🤔😁 Also it took me about 15-20 to construct start to finish. Anyone feel like you can’t get ahead and you are just spinning your wheels? Do you feel like you have bad luck or things are just easier for other people? I used to feel that way. I never saw myself as a negative person, but I was. What changed for me was reading hooks like the Slight Edge that helped change my mindset. . I know a lot of you are like “Self Development Books? 😝 You believe you don’t have the time ⏰ to read 📖 and there are other priorities. The biggest take away that I got from this book right here, was about reading just 10 pages a day and the massive changes it can make in your life. 10 pages a day, 365 days a year is 3,650 pages! It doesn’t have to be in personal development. It can be in your career field or your dream job. It would not take you long to become an expert in a field. For the average person, reading 10 pages a day should take less the 30 minutes. I am sure that you spend at least that much time watching tv 📺 scrolling social media 📱 or playing Candy Crush 🍬 . You know how I know? Because I used to do all of those things! Those 30 minutes or more a day that I used the excuse was my down time, and time to relax, was such a massive time suck that resulted in me spending so many years in a job I hated and delaying moving my life forward. 💆🏻♀️I’m in my ZEN, have my eye on the prize, and ready to tackle any obstacles thrown my way, and their will be obstacles. How you begin your morning sets the tone for the entire day. If you wake up and rush to get dressed and out the door, you’re entire day will feel rushed and you’ll be burdened with that sense of anxiety. I admit, I’ve been lacking in that area, hitting snooze quite a few times, waking up later than planned, and I have caught myself lashing out easier, and lacking motivation for other things. So this morning I set my alarm for 4 am and got right up. I read my personal development book for 30 minutes, did a 30 minute workout, followed by another hour workout. Had breakfast and took a shower, all before 7am!!! I didn’t have to worry about packing up and heading the the gym in the snow, or figure out what I was going to do about work and the kids because of the school delay. I just took it all in and did what had to do. The benefits of working out and working from home ❤️ If you tell me you cant create a less stressful life because you dont have time, then wake up earlier: I promise you It is crucial for your success. Wake up every morning, find a routine that works and Seize EVERY day!!! You’ll be surprised how much better you feel! You aren’t going to hit those goals you set for 2019 so you may as well say F it right? There is no way you are going to hit that rank, earn that trip, pay off that debt, or lose those 10 pounds in the next 3 weeks so why bother trying. Well friend, that is where you are wrong. Something I had to have a long chat about with myself these last few days. There are about 400 million excuses we could all come up with but it’s bullshit. Bullshit stories we keep telling ourselves to make ourselves feel better about not hitting those goals. We are so focused on all the negative we forget about all of the amazing things we did do or the small little wins we have had along the way. So yeah your not where you want to be and honestly neither am I but I want you to list out all of the things you have accomplished to get where you are right now. There are 21 days left in 2019. 21 days to finish the year strong. 21 days to keep showing up consistently to set up for a strong start in 2020. My company had its monthly call with corporate last night and it changed my mindset. I’ve been coming up with excuses with the big one being its a busy time of year and I will hit it hard again on January 1st. I was reminded last night not to take my foot off the gas because the hard work I put in now is only going to set up 2020 for an awesome start. I was also reminded of that again this morning when I was doing my personal development. The little things are just as easy not to do as they are easy to do. The little things we do put us on the curve to success or the curve to failure. Each choice we make impacts us negatively or positively. I’m going to keep showing up everyday. I’m going to keep working on making the positive choice and remember though I may not be seeing things changing right now each choice I make adds up over time and I will see the hard work pay off. . Often we think that once we achieve success in our careers or personal goals then we will be happy. ▪️ Instead we should focus on reverse engineering on the daily things that affect our happiness. Life is a roller coaster that you can’t manage without a plan. The most significant factor in your happiness are your daily actions.
Do you ever find yourself saying or thinking things like “once I’m successful then I’ll be happy, once I make enough money then I won’t be so stressed, once I am healthier , then I’ll be happy, when I have a bigger house, better job blah blah blah. Unfortunately that isn’t how it works! Once you do what it takes to raise your everyday level of happiness, then you will start achieving all those things you want to achieve! “Be happy and then the reason will appear” I love that and it’s so true! Trust me, I’m guilty of this far to often but I’m working on it! So as we go into this Tuesday, let’s just focus on being happy and see how we feel :)

🎯Change your trajectory by 1% ✈️ 🎯 What would it look like for you to change just 1% of your daily habits, behaviors or thoughts? What's the impact of 1% change? If you were flying an airplane and you flew off course by just 1%, there is a great chance you'd end up on another continent, let alone in the place you intended to be. The same thing goes for your health habits. If you change just 1% of your behavior, it can add up to big results. One of my favorite books of all time, “The Slight Edge” by Jeff Olson, is about just that. There are no neutral choices in life. Every choice you make every day puts you on the curve of achieving your goals and finding success or further from the goal. But what does 1% change look like? It could be sleeping 1% longer each night (just a few minutes), eating half the cookie instead of the entire thing, adding 1 minute of high intensity to the end of your workout, reading for the time equivalent to 1% of your day. Once the 1% becomes a habit, you add another 1% change, and another... Soon you've changed your entire life by 1%. You're living a bigger, more vibrant, more inspired life! When we were kids we would dream all day, making up ridiculous stories about grand adventures. Somewhere along the way we lost that. Using our imagination, writing stories for ourselves....those things become frowned upon as adults. But why?! Imagination is what takes us from where we are now to where we could be in the future. Albert Einstein was known to have said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge. Logic will get you from A to B, but imagination can take you anywhere.” . . Imagination is the driving force behind our growth. It can take us places that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise. It has no boundaries. It has no walls. The world is limitless when we imagine what we want in this life. If we are going to reach our full potential we must embrace all that our imagination conjures up for us. . . . Without imagination you stay put. Right where you are. There’s no outside the box, there’s no promotion, there’s just the hamster wheel...day after day, the same. What can you imagine for yourself? For your family? For the people that you lead? 💙
Look at this chick. A little baby coach just finding her footing. I had committed to my first ever program, made HUGE changes in my physical appearance, but leaps and bounds in my personal growth. . I was on a mission to be a better mom. (Let’s be real, I still am). I thought by diving deep into my business I would find the answers. You know where I found some, my books. I thought that by diving into personal development I would be building up my business. What I found challenged and redefined the way I view being a mother. . But as a sleeping baby just pinned down my arm I’ll leave you with the most important thing I’ve heard this year, “If your [book, podcast, blog] isn’t serving you, why are you reading it?” Seriously y’all, stop reading things you feel forced to read and focus on the areas that bring you joy, excitement or growth, preferably all three. . But the truth is as we need some 🌞 to stay healthy! it's our energy source. Like everything else, we have to respect the sun and its mighty power as to not get too much. In fact, midday when the Sun is at its highest point around noon, UVB rays are the most intense. It means you mean less Sun to get the job done. Afternoon rays actually scatter more bad UVA radiation due to scattering in thr late evening. The body is most efficient at making vitamin D and day around noon as well due to hormonal factors. So go ahead and get outside this week! Gratitude Challenge! Day 24 of 40: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ EVOLUTION ~ I am grateful for my development and growth. I was having a coffee with a friend tonight and we talked about how as human beings we are not meant to stay in one place. We are not trees. We are meant to be constantly evolving and growing daily, bit by bit, slowly but surely. We are always moving towards something, an end goal. We just need to make sure we are on the positive end of the spectrum. I’ve learned so much the last two years with my obsession with personal development books. Two that come to mind when I think of growth are The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson and The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy. Both phenomenal books by the way, I highly recommend them both, very quick reads. Anyways, the whole premise of both books is that we are constantly on a curve, either upward or downward (swipe left to see the graph). At first it seems like there are no visible results but overtime it eventually compounds to be life-changing. Which side are you on? Which habits do you need to let go of for 2020 and which habits do you need to pick up?
