I would have never imagined I’d get myself to do intervals BY MYSELF (I seriously don’t think I ever did one interval workout alone prior to 2018)

The journey looks different but I LOVE it just the same, if not even a little more 💕
Training has brought focus and structure back into my life. I’m slowly accepting that I CAN stay injury free and letting the LOVE of the sport I did for so long back into my heart. I honestly didn’t realize how much I had let it out and how much I still had left for it. ♥️
🏃♀️It’s been a pretty cool journey so far, and I know I need to share more of it with you all. It’s looking like those goals I started to doubt I’d ever reach will be possible afterall (with some time and a lot more hard work💪🏻).

It’s been so hard for me to get a rhythm going on my running so I’m going back to where all begin and how I started to do this running thing. Long run today, 13.5miles. Goal was to run the last 3 miles at a quicker pace by feel; 7:10, 6:50, 6:35. I am very happy I closed with a 6:35 on tired legs. It felt great! I’m so excited to be in my next training cycle for my half marathon in April. This might be 2018 in one picture. Multiple small injuries made me run Cortina Trail on will power and mental strength. Relief at the finish. 2019 will be different: I’m taking it easier on the build-up and I will have only one race goal, the OCC. Looking back on two years of racing made me wonder whether all these races are key to the ultra trail running nature. They are not. So, 2019 will be a year of more personal distance goals and less racing. I already have some less familiar trails (from 50 to 70k) in mind for some solo or duo running. Good news is I got 12 and a half #sundayrunday miles done towards #londonmarathontraining . Bad news is I didn’t listen to my own advice and slow the run down and it also took me until midday to get the motivation to get out the door. 🛏 But there’s always next week to improve on this!
