Have an intentional conversation w your partner about what’s important - your top 3 items each. So much stress is caused by lack of clarity & communication around desires, fears, priorities, & expectations. You’re going to come up against tons of opinions about who, what, when, where, why & how much. Once you know what AWESOME means to you, you’ll have a map to guide your direction & choices together.

3. Practice
Think about it: when you learn a new skill - piano, golf, baking - you start off crappy and you practice. In the beginning your pastry dough is terrible. You can’t hit the ball to save your life. This is expected so you keep trying and get better.

Mental health is the same. What do you get anxious about? Who drives you nuts? STRESS is the reason brides say “It all went by in a blur! I don’t even REMEMBER my wedding day!”

Find areas where you need practice & start small. Receive compliments without deflecting. Order the first thing on the menu & decide you’ll love it. Say no to invitations, without giving an excuse. At first you will suck. But it’ll get better.

Nach einem Tag Pause (mich hatte es ordentlich mit Fieber erwischt), geht es heute mit #deinjahresrückblick weiter: Womit bzw. mit wem hast du zu wenig Zeit verbracht? ... Ich habe generell das Gefühl zu wenig Zeit zu haben. Irgendwie begleitet mich das schon mein ganzes Leben. Das die Zeit relativ ist und von meiner Wahrnehmung und wie ich sie verbringe abhängt, habe ich zum ersten Mal in Vipassana Anfang 2018 realisiert. Seitdem versuche ich anders damit umzugehen. Mal gelingt es mir ganz gut, mal ganz und gar nicht. Besonders gut gelingt es mir, wenn ich meditiere und dadurch gefühlt qualitativ Zeit gewinne. Nicht so gut, wenn ich mir mal wieder zu viel vornehme und von A nach B hetze. Ich hatte weniger Zeit mit engen Freunden und meiner Familie, als ich es mir wünsche. Ein Punkt, den ich 2020 ändern möchte. Genauso möchte ich mir mehr Zeit für Yoga einplanen und diese als festen Termin mit mir selbst sehen. ... Womit oder mit wem hast du zu wenig Zeit verbracht? When you become detached mentally from yourself and concentrate on helping other people with their difficulties, you will be able to cope with your own more effectively. Somehow, the act of self-giving is a personal power-releasing factor. The days especially the weekends can be difficult after a break up. I gave permission to soak in my emotions but I wasn't willing to indulge in it. I've always knew I had this spirit in me to pull myself out in any painful and difficult situation. Once you made the decision to let go, pretty much the mind takes charge. I decided to create a Women support group. Not only to help myself in my healing process-but I've always been this person- fulfillment and contentment when I serve and make people happy. I created this group as an antidote - a form of liberation to anyone especially someone who is struggling with the same kind of pain of moving on and letting go — you forget about yourself for a split moment. And let’s face it, that, on some days, can feel like shit. The group isn't about male bashing. It's not just about relationship hurts but there is so much more. Deep thoughts, reflections and ultimately, you gain clarity in moving forward or making decisions. Hearing them, I felt ashamed only to realise, my problems wasn't that deep (the kind of betrayal) but everyone was so compassionate. There were no judgement on the table. It's amazing how we can support and lift each other. The group is growing. And looking forward to our second session. Forgiveness has been linked to many positive health benefits, including increased wellbeing. Despite this, it is not always easy, and many of us appear to struggle most when it comes to forgiving one person in particular – ourselves. When we forgive ourselves, we are not pardoning or excusing the behaviour – we are not forgetting. Rather we’re acknowledging the mistake, and perhaps noting that we would do things differently next time. One road to self-forgiveness is through exercising self-compassion. According to Kristen Neff, self-compassion is extending compassion to oneself in times of perceived inadequacy, or suffering. She views self-compassion as being composed of three core components: mindfulness, common humanity, and self-kindness. How to use self-compassion as a tool of self-forgiveness: -Be mindful of what you’re holding on to, notice the stories you are telling yourself, and what past memories you are reliving. Question and evaluate the function of the unforgiveness – is it serving you? -Acknowledge that you are human – and thus not alone in your imperfections, nor your suffering. -Be kind to yourself – give yourself the same caring, understanding and compassion that you would to a friend. اوضاع و احوال این روزهای کشورمان حال خیلی خوبی ندارد. شاید ننوشتن طولانیمدت مطلبی در این پیج هم، بی ارتباط با این روزها نباشد. در حال فکر بودم از این که چه چیزی باید نوشت که هم بی توجه به این روزها نباشد و هم، در پی مطالب قبلی، در زمینه ی رسیدن به حال خوب باشد. یکی از مهم ترین مسائلی که همیشه در روانشناسی از آن صحبت می کنیم قابلیت انعطاف پذیری یا سازگاری بالاست. سازگاری و انعطاف پذیری قطعاً به معنای انفعال، کوتاه آمدن از حق یا به رنگ جامعه درآمدن، به هر طریقی نیست. منظور، رسیدن به نقطه ای است که کم ترین درد را تجربه کنیم. این پیوستار انعطاف پذیری، می تواند از تجربه ی کم ترین درد تا رسیدن به بیش ترین لذت در نوسان باشد. میدانم حالِ روزهای اقتصادی، اجتماعی و سیاسی کشور ما خوب نیست اما حواسمان باشد که این دردها را بیش از پیش بزرگ نکنیم و بگذاریم آن میزان از رنج، رنج واقعی مربوط به همین اتفاق ها باشد. گاهی اوقات ما رنج هایمان را با اغراق کردن در آن، با بیش از حد فکر کردن به آن ها بدون رسیدن به راهحلی خاص، با گیر کردن در چرخه ی معیوب خودسرزنشی ها، ای کاش ها و چرایی های مربوط به این که چرا در این موقعیت زمانی و یا در این مکان به دنیا آمدم و شکایت کردن از موقعیتهایی که دست ما نبوده و در ایجاد کردن آن نقشی نداریم، افزون می کنیم. سازگاری در این جا به این معناست که چه کنیم که با وجود درد واقعی این روزها، میزان سازگاری ما در زندگی مان حفظ شده و در شرایطی بهتر، بالاتر رود؟ این سازگاری شاید در گرو یک نگاه واقع بینانه به خود و توانمندی های خود در این زمان باشد. انتظارات بیهوده و خارج از توان،از خود نداشته باشیم و در عین حال، اجازه ندهیم مشکلات دنیای بیرون، حال درونی ما را بیش تر از پیش، بد کند. باید نگاه کنیم که در این شرایط چه چیزی می تواند از درد و رنج ما بکاهد و آیا این نوید دهنده، در دسترس ما هست یا نه؟ اگر نیست، شاید لازم است به بازبینی دوباره این هدف نگاه کنیم. حال این روزهای مان شاید خوب نباشد اما مراقب باشیم که با افکار و انتظارات غیر واقع بینانه از خود، این میزان از رنج را افزون نکنیم. #خود_مشاهده_گری #خودمراقبتی #رنج #افکار #روانشناسی #روان_درمانی #مشاوره #رواندرمانگر #suffering #thoughts #psychoanalyst #psychotherapy #psychology #counselingpsychology #ego #selfcompassion #self_observation #selfcaring

So today I have realised truly how much of a nerd I am because it has only been not even a month since my last year 12 exam (thank the LORD🎉) and I am missing studying so much that I don’t know what to do with myself • However I do NOT miss the pressure and stress that year 12 caused, I am sooo ready to move on and study what I want to learn about (animals) and make a contribution to their lives! • Now that I have finished high school I want to pursue my dream of becoming an equine vet. Uni doesn’t start until next February but I’m already pining for it sooo I’ve started researching various diseases and infections that can affect horses that I didn’t previously know a whole lot about! • Horses are my life source and I would NOT be the person I am today without my two baby standardbred girls, Maggie and Asrah. • I don’t get to see them often because of the distance between us but I know they are well loved and looked after by my grandparents on their farm. My babies, now that I’m finished high school I will have so much more time for them. And becoming a vet, something I’ve aspired to be since a young child, will help me grow even closer to them! 🌸 • Even though they’ve tested me countlessly and have not been easy horses to train (then again when is it ever easy?) 👆A snippet I just reread from a two-year-old research diary; it made me LOL so I figured it must still be true. 🌈 Neurodiversity means we have different sensitivities (and those sensitivities must be cared for by the virtue of differing habits), and why not trust that this is intelligent and useful for the purpose of survival? 🌈 Those of us who are Especially Sensitive More Often Than Most And Are Therefore More Easily Drained And More Prone To Be Cranky are often ashamed about our position on the spectrum due to parents (or as I like to call them: Greeters) who were embarrassed about our “fussiness”. 🌈 It pains me to say that I see this all the time, among well meaning parents who’d be mortified to realize they’re incurring shame by mocking inconveniently big feelings. 🌈 Now don’t get me wrong, kids do manipulate — just tonight I had to confront my daughter about feigning distress to get out of eating her side of steamed greens. 🥦 But there are trends I see of passionate parents who are so overwhelmed by their passionate embarrassment about having a high maintenance child, that they throw their pride on every whinge and tear drop. And this comes with blowback. 🌈 There’s a longer conversations to be had here — for now all I’ll say is there’s never a reason to shame parents, only offer less clumsy options — but the bottom line is that having big feelings is not a problem in itself. Being neurosensitive / HSP is a healthy, normal thing to be, and every wolf in the pack benefits from our perceptively. 🌈 The problem is when we’re too SELF-CONSCIOUS about our feelings — too interested in how others are interpreting them. We have to learn to stay in our own bodies long enough to interpret them ourselves — and thank them, so they can neutralize — before we rush to wonder whether anyone thinks we’re a bitch or a baby for how they expressed. 🌈 Have you ever encountered anxiety after an emotional moment? A lot of therapists are adding this disclaimer to their page and it's another tactic to cover up unethical, poor behaviour. I will report any and all unethical therapists to the appropriate boards regardless of how much marketing they use. Therapists on Instagram make A LOT of money and HOLD A LOT OF POWER. Therapists should be held accountable for their actions. I will NOT be silenced and neither should any other client that has had therapists act in an unethical way. Every therapist and their supervisor is using instagram to draw in clients but are they properly trained? Are they treating their clients properly? Are they properly supervised? All the time they spend on Instagram, are they actually doing their due diligence to clients? Are they properly supervising, training and managing the ppl they are supervising? Be discerning when choosing a therapist just like u would with anything online especially on Instagram. What are ur horrible experiences? I want to hear.
