How many of you set health goals for 2019? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ That happened to be the first one I wrote down (by the way, these are not in order of priority...just how they went from my head to paper). I forced myself to leave them that way to counterbalance my perfectionist tendencies. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Let me be honest...I'm nervous about this one. 😳😬 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Yup, the online health and fitness coach just said that. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Here's the truth: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ All of these healthy habits I've developed and maintained over the past three years (morning routines, time with the Lord, exercising daily, fueling my body with good nutrition) were implemented AFTER I had passed the newborn stage with my second child. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So...I haven't tried this with a newborn. Yet. 😳 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I'm not sure what to expect. I'm wanting to extend grace to myself, but not use grace as an excuse. I'm wanting to rest and not create unrealistic expectations, but I'm still wanting to be diligent to steward what God has given me well. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And I'm a bit nervous about it, friends...this new kid gets here in 5 days! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But, I'm committed to moving ahead, walking forward and praying for faith along the way. 😊 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And I'm also committed to sharing the messiness and imperfections with you all as I go. 😉 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So, here it is...my Goal #1: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Stewardship of overall health in the seasons ahead - spiritual (daily time with God) and morning routine; nutrition; fitness ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And the fruit of the Spirit that I feel like this will yield: Self-control ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Do you have similar goals? Comment below and share your season of life and the goals you're setting in the area of your overall health stewardship. I'd love to cheer you on your journey as well!
