Posted @withrepost • @52dozendonuts As cliche as it may seem, starting the new year with a resolution can be life changing. To date, the most physically notable resolution I have made was my initial weight loss following my time playing college football. Each resolution I have made has been challenging at times, even to the point of dread of starting it in the first place. However, I assure you that even if your initial goal isn’t met, the progress you can make in one year’s time can completely alter your perspective on life. For those of you wondering, NO, I did not accomplish my goal of a book a week for a year. I ended up more on the low to mid thirties. Regardless, I have learned more in this one year than I have in any one year previous. I found a new found appreciation for reading, and fully respect those skilled enough to mentally digest complex information at such a rapid pace. Remember, your year can be as great as you’d like to be. It’s really just a matter of you setting aside the time and putting in the work.
