Jake took this pic without me realizing last summer. I'm working out in a hotel room overlooking the Buda side of Budapest, my reflection in the mirror. Working out on vacation??? I know, weird. But what you can't tell from this photo is how grateful I am for the joy of movement, how good it feels. . . . Like faith, what people do for fitness is extremely personal. Some crave a run, a ride, a swim, weightlifting, boot camp, yoga, hiking, surfing, stairmaster or snowboarding. Until pretty recently, I believed pain=gain, not just in fitness but in life. If something didn't hurt, it probably wasn't worth doing. After all, I wanted results. . . . I no longer live like that, and I feel better in my skin than ever before.
