🙏🏻 BE GRATEFUL 🙏🏻 There are many things we can be in this world and unfortunately too many of us (myself included at times) are not grateful enough for our lives. Instead of being upset about the little things take a step back and realise there are people that are always in a worse off position then ourselves. I've complained I haven't had enough money, I've complained I am alone, I have whinged about injuries holding me back, the list goes on and on. But unfortunately some people don't even have a chance, see life is what we make of it and living in Australia we are fortunate enough we can live a great positive life if we choose. There are countries in the world who have to fight each day just to live.... and they are grateful for the simple things in their lives, food, shelter, water... I met someone last week who reminded me to be grateful and that life can take these things away from you at any moment. Meet Aaron.. Aaron has an engineering background and is a loving father. He was involved in a car accident in which he was completely not at fault. As a result of this accident Aaron has lost his site completely and ended up with injuries to his knee, leg, jaw and hip that are likely to be with him for the rest of his life. Aaron was colour blind, he told me he always wished he could see colours... now he wishes he could just see!!! Even though Aaron's life has completely changed, his outlook is still so positive, he is grateful that he still can walk, he can still spend time with his children and he is now getting into stand up comedy! He is brace, funny, most of all he is grateful! He doesn't question "why did this happen to me" hey just moves on and tries to make his days as positive as possible!! 🙏🏻BE GRATEFUL🙏🏻

Life is full of choices 🚪 🚪 But which door do you take? There's always choices about which path/door we take and some of us will analyse the choices and end up talking ourselves out of taking any action. The problem with this is.. if we avoid action from the thought of making a mistake, losing, failing, missing out, short term pain... then we will convince ourselves that we have made the correct decision and we will continue to live this way. Failure is a common part of life and we need to learn from it. What we can't have however is the fear of failure or rejection convincing ourselves to remain where we are. You can get guidance and advice for almost any choice you need to make in your day, whether it be: - what outfit to wear- - what to eat for dinner- - should I go to the gym- Blah blah blah Problem is.. the person you get advice from... if they are an expert on that area then take the advice in but do you know who needs to make the choice... YOU! And only you can start walking that path. Now there are many larger decisions we face from time to time.. for some it is daily, for others it is less frequent. - Do I stay unhappy in my job - - Do I attempt to get things back on track with an ex - - Do I invest or do I wait - - Should I travel or save my money - - Do I start my own business - These are decisions that will determine how you live your life. They are made up of many smaller thoughts and emotions and actions that lead us to this decision. If we choose to take the path of safety then it's likely you will be a "what if" OR "I should have" OR "if only" type of person, we all know one or two of those I'm sure. It comes down to ARE YOU CURRENTLY HAPPY? If yes.. great! I'm happy for you 🙂 If no... then I imagine this is why you are having these choices constantly coming up in your life.. Make a change whether it turns out to be a good change straight away or not. The more positive things you place in your life, means your life will start to change for the better even if there are setbacks along the way.

Today is World Mental Health Day. As a sufferer of Depression & Anxiety & also a compulsive gambler I know the importance of days like today. I know how hard it can be to switch over to a positive mindset. It can be hard enough just getting out of bed at times. I understand how hard it is to open up and let people see you when you feel weak but I also see how powerful it is when you do. One thing I've learnt to do when I do feel weak and it feels impossible to focus on my own strengths, is to show gratitude. To think about all the things in your life you are grateful for. All the people in your life you are grateful for. See the problem with our world these days is that we have our wants and our needs mixed up and this can be devastating for our mental health. If you think about people you are grateful for, people who motivate you, reach out to them in times of struggle and also strength and let them know what they mean to you. Are you wanting to make a change for the better? Too many times I've hear from people desperately wanting to make a change yet they take the first step and seek the help or educate themselves... only to fall back into the same place they were in a very short amount of time.
